What’s better than seizing a golden opportunity to watch the most awaited film of your life? To be precise nothing can dominate this golden opportunity especially if you are addicted to the world of entertainment. After the massive success of the 2019 shounen animated series “Demon Slayer,” the creators decided to produce a direct sequel to the animated show in the form of a full-length film entitled Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.

Since the announcement, the fans (Nerds addicted to anime) especially the nerd community who don’t read mangas were yearning to relish the demon slayer film so that they can get themselves familiar with the events following its predecessor i.e the 2019 Demon Slayer series. Regrettably, an invisible foe arrived last year and ruined all the exhilaration of the fans. Coronavirus delayed the release of the film for almost a year in many countries but Japan was able to release it on the scheduled date.

The Japanese people flocked into theatres and helped Demon slayer: Mugen Train to gain a monumental success in the Japanese Box office hereby resulted in the displacement of the 2001 masterpiece by Hayao Miyazaki named “ Spirited Away” from the top position as Demon Slayer: Mugen Train became the first-ever Japanese animated film to gross 40 billion yen.

The movie broke records in a very short period.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba the movie: Mugen Train is a direct sequel to the highly acclaimed 2019 series named Demon slayer (Jap: Kimetsu No Yaiba). Both the media formats are the direct adaptations of the demon Slayer Manga series i.e written by Koyoharu Gotouge.

Contrarily, the media adaptations were directed by Haruo Sotozaki. The film was released last year in Japan and America earlier this year.

MY VIEWS AFTER WATCHING THIS FILM:

I was glad that I got the privilege of watching Demon Slayer: Mugen Train after a long gap of 6-7 months and I must say that the film was highly entertaining and it didn’t lose the dynamism that the Otakus experienced after watching its prequel series.

The calibre of the movie is the same as that of its prequel i.e it sticks more on the visual aspects of the film hereby allowing the viewers to have a remarkable experience.

I will share the pros and Cons of the film in detail so that you can decide whether you want to watch the film or not.

THE PROS:

A)     THE CREATORS WERE FULLY FOCUSED ON THE VISUAL ASPECTS OF THE FILM: Demon Slayer: Mugen Train reach its pinnacle just because the creators were fully emphasized on the Visual aspects of the movie. It’s the animation that helped the movie to seize the top spot and to break Box Office records. The flawless animation enhanced the standard of the fight sequences present in the film which in turn invigorate the quality of the movie.

B)      THE FAST-PACED NATURE OF THE FILM SPELLBINDS THE AUDIENCE FROM THE BEGINNING: I can assure you that the film has a strong aura from the starting sequence which can deeply engross anyone (even a person who don’t watch anime) to it that they will desperately wait for the concluding sequence of the movie. The expeditious nature of the film not only enthrals the audience but also allows them to witness an exceptional cinematic experience that will be etched in their minds forever.

THE ONLY POSSIBLE FLAW:

a)      The creators failed to connect the viewers with the main protagonist “Senjuro Rengoku”:

I don’t know if anybody will agree with my words but the creators failed terribly in familiarizing the viewers with the main protagonist “Senjuro Rengoku”. Rengoku’s presence was not only crucial for the film but it’s the film that is more or less dedicated to the abilities of senjuro as a member of the Demon Slayer corps. Despite being the backbone of the film the creators didn’t reveal much about his life due to which the viewers failed to deeply connect with the character of Rengoku.

b) The plot is simple :

I know that most of the action films, in general, don't have over the top plots which are quite noticeable in other action flicks. The same goes with this movie as the plot of Demon Slayer: Mugen train is very simple and lacks moments that can astound or stun the viewers. In other words, the plot is straightforward yet entertaining but it would have been better if the creators have spice up the plot a bit more.

In a nutshell, the film can fall in the category of ‘one-time watcher’ and is a must-watch for those who love reading Shonen jump. So viewers, Demon Slayer: Mugen train can’t be skipped at all.

Note: Don't watch the film if you haven’t watched the series first otherwise you will not be able to connect yourself with the movie.
